This past July I visited a Christian ministry for orphans in Uganda, where they are raising nearly 1500 poor children without parents. Their facilities are extremely limited—classrooms with one light bulb, crude dormitories with no indoor plumbing, a diet of mostly cornbread and beans. But despite these disadvantages, they are filled with joy!
They call their students “champions,” and they call their school Blessed Hope Academy. What touched me most was their overriding trust in the Lord to provide for their needs. They know how much God loves their children, and they believe He is on their side.
